Runabout "Severn 20"

The "Severn 20" is a custom design produced for one off construction by qualified professional and amateur builders. Styled after the 1940's Chris Craft runabouts, her bottom has been modified to allow easy and soft running in rough water.

Also added was a propeller tunnel, which allows the prop shaft angle to be less, producing more speed with less draft. She is built of double planked mahogany over cedar and is powered by a Crusader 350 .

Wide open, with four on board, she has hit 50 knots (57 mph) on a radar gun, and with one person on board she has gone 55 knots. Not bad.
